What You Should Bring Into Hospital With You

Please bring...

  • ‘Your Anaesthetic’ booklet, to discuss with your Anaesthetist
  • All medications you are currently taking, including herbal and natural remedies - please also ensure you bring these medications in the bottles/boxes they were dispensed in
  • Glasses and other physical and personal aids (walking sticks, hearing aids, etc)

 

 

Daystay patient:

  • Comfortable loose clothing (sleepwear is not required)

 

 

Staying overnight:

If you are staying overnight or longer, in a small overnight bag you should bring:

  • Comfortable sleepwear, dressing gown, slippers or footwear
  • Personal toiletries (each room has an ensuite)
  • Comfortable daywear (optional) to facilitate your early mobilisation
  • Reading material or other leisure activities. Each room has a TV

 

Please do not bring any valuables, jewellery or other personal items as Belverdale takes no responsibility for their safe keeping.

 

 

You may also bring:

  • Cell phones - You may be asked to switch off cell phones while you are in hospital as they can affect some of the equipment we use during your care.
  • Computers - Wi-Fi is available
